Thailand 2001
In May of 2001, my wife Loy and I took our four grandchildren to the other side of the planet. It was quite an adventure for the kids and yours truly had a great time as well. Do to my limited vacation time, I was only able to spend two weeks in Thailand. My wife and the four kids were there for over five! We spent some time in the heart of Bangkol with one brother-in-law and some in the suburbs of Bangkok with another brother. The majority fo the time, however, was spent in the rural village outside of Khorat where my wife grew up and lived until young adulthood. One of the things I found interesting is that despite the language difference, the kids had no problem playing with other children in the village. The links below are mainly photo pages documenting the trip.
Golf in the Kingdom - I brought my sticks and was able to get in five rounds of golf with my brother-in-law. I written a general description of what it's like to play in Thailand with some photos from the courses.
