I had a good day!! I spent the last week having the video of my swing analyzed by my Usenet compatriots on rec.sport.golf., and I think I benefited from that greatly. I really concentrated on keeping my spine angle and not moving ahead of the ball before impact. The result was one of the best ball striking rounds I've had in a while. With a couple of exceptions, I was near the green in regulations (had four GIR total I believe). I went out in 41 and had a 43 coming back. If my short game had been a little more cooperative, I could have found myself threatening a sub-80 round. I had two three-putt bogeys on the front and missed a couple of par putts from inside six feet. This was despite switching back to my long putter after using a regular putter last week. So I'm really happy with the way things went, and I hope to continue to improve my full swing. Meanwhile, I really need to get to work on my putting. In one of Ray Floyd's books he calls the six-foot putt the most important shot in golf. Missing from inside of six feet has cost me a few strokes the last couple of weeks. I have GOT to work on that.
