I'm actually surprised that my score was 94 considering how crappy I played today. One thing that has been missing from my game during this recent streak of decent scores is the real "hack shot." Those are those truly terrible shots that make you look like you're playing for the first time. I hit a few of those today. One that was particularly annoying was after hitting my best drive of the day, I hit a 7 iron into a fairway bunker about 20 yards away and to my left. I was really torqued. I only made two pars on the day--both up and downs on par 3s. I did make some good chip/putt combinations but they were to save a bogey or even a double. I three putted two greens on the front. So I guess I'm still somewhat pleased because a really bad day for me used to mean not breaking 100.

One thing I hate about being a once-a-week golfer is that now I'll have to wait seven days before I get a chance to improve on what I did today. So I'll just keep practicing my short game and look forward to next Sunday.
