The course took another 4-5 inch rain on Thurdsay which has left the back nine still unplayable. I met up with one of regular partners (Mike) this morning and played the front nine twice. There was a fair amount of casual water on the first couple holes but not bad after that. The greens were in bad shape. They had all taken a heavy dose of sand, and they were quite shaggy. After the first couple of holes I decided this was going to be a "practice" round that I wouldn't post for handicap. I struggled off the tee most of the day but I did hit some good iron shots. I had 4-5 greens in regulation and scared some holes with birdie putts. All in all, not bad considering how little golf I've played this past month.
